Navigate from your Earned Income into your Retirement Income!

A favorite activity of mine is kayaking. The first time I set out to try it, I was very intimidated at the thought of taking a modest vessel into the vastness of the Gulf of Mexico . . . and encountering all its inhabitants.
I love the water and nature and seeing both from such a close perspective would allow me to see so many varieties of birds, fish, plants and so on.

I learned there was a better, safer way to make the journey.

It starts with planning your route, loading your gear and supplies, knowing the rules of the waterways and the timing of your voyage. It’s also good to have a float plan and avoid going alone.

Managing our finances, when you pause for a moment to consider, has a lot of parallels:

Drafting your float plan (Planning your Finances)

∴What kind of experience do you intend to have? Who are you responsible for and to? Are you seeking advice from salient sources?

Putting in from the shoreline (Execute the Plan)

∴You must begin. You must monitor the risks. You can course correct when needed.

Respecting the channel markers (Warnings)

∴Remain aware. Some obstacles are not worth navigating. Resting and rethinking are part of the path.

Being mindful of the tide (Timing)

∴Setting out too soon or waiting too late can negatively impact your journey. It doesn’t mean you can’t reach your destination; you may have to portage your boat along the way.

Start your journey to navigate and safely arrive at your destination. Work with me to plan the transition from your earned income into and through your retirement.
